It is never too late to return to our heavenly Father. We are never so utterly lost or too far in the dark, that we cannot once again come to our senses and go back to the arms and light of our God. Like the father of the prodigal son, our God anxiously ‘stares out the window for us’ and joyfully welcomes us home (Lk. 15:1-32).
If the ‘man’ Moses could exercise so much patience and compassion on the people who rejected him and turned away from the Lord (Ex. 32:7-14), how much more will our loving God look beyond our rebellion and gather us into the feast. Our God is rich in mercy and full of compassion. Daddy is always ready to forgive us.
Our Father, forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Cleanse our stains and heal our weaknesses. May the promise of eternal life inspire us to live as daughters and sons who truly want to be present at the eternal feast You have prepared for us. Amen.
Blessings,
Fr. Howie
