A Mass of Thanksgiving in honour of the visiting Apostolic Nuncio, Most Rev. Fortunatus Nwachukwu, and the 33rd Priestly Ordination of His Grace, the Most Rev. Kenneth Richards will be held on Thursday, September 27 at 5:00pm at the Holy Trinity Cathedral.

St. Michael's Seminary will be hosting a fundraising concert on Sunday, February 11 at 5:00pm in the Church Hall. Tickets cost $2000.

Come and celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishing of the Archdiocese of Kingston on Thursday, November 30 at 5:30pm at the Holy Trinity Cathedral.

~~Stella Maris Foundation receives grant from UPS Foundation~~

The Foundation recently received a grant from The UPS Foundation, which will be used to assist with the upgrading and equipping of the Norma Chang Day Care Centre, transforming it into an Early Childhood Institution. This will include the purchase of furnishings, equipment and learning tools and materials for the infants and toddlers. Read more....

~~Stella Maris 'Dinner Talk'~~

Fr. Howard shares a memorable evening with our Prime Minister, the Most Honourable Andrew Holness, ON, MP, Archbishop of Kingston, Most Rev. Kenneth Richards, D.D, fellow Stella Maris Church Parishioners and friends at our recently held Biennial Fundraising Dinner. The event was geared towards assisting our Foundation and the various Church charities.

Archbishop Kenneth has invited all Catholics to participate in the Chaplet of Divine Mercy in the Streets of our neighbouring communities on the 3rd Sunday of each month during the period November 2016- November 2017.

Archbishop Kenneth Richards has appointed our own Alton Miller as Deacon of Stella Maris Church. Congrats Deacon Alton Miller.

~~New Archbishop for Kingston!~~

Pope Francis has appointed the Most Reverend Kenneth Richards as the new Archbishop of Kingston. Archbishop Richards was appointed today and will be installed as the seventh Archbishop of Kingston at a special service on July 6 at the Holy Trinity Cathedral on North Street in Kingston.

Wendy Beswick was called to the bar on December 8, 2016 and enrolled as an Attorney-at-Law in Jamaica in the Supreme Court of Jamaica.

Rachel Lodge completed her Bachelors of Law Degree and on December 7th, 2016 was called to the bar, allowed to sign the roll and take her oath to become an attorney-at-law.

Well Done! Danielle Williams of Campion College gets the 2016 CSEC English Literature Regional Top Award for the Best Short Story. She was awarded, among other prizes, a scholarship to UWI.

Hermine M. Metcalfe O.D., BH [M]; Registered Pharmacist was awarded and conferred with the Award of Order of Distinction (O.D.) in October 2016: For Invaluable Contribution to the Development of Pharmacy Education.

Carol Lawrence Beswick was awarded the Order of Distinction, Commander Class, on August 6, 2016 for distinguished service to the legal profession and the judiciary. She was conferred with the Award by the Governor General on October 17th.

Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Ph.D. student Justin Yapp and his professors recently won a NATO award for UAV research. Justin is the son of our own Dexter Yapp! We wish him continued success!
