Lenten Bytes

The voices that compete for our attention are many. The voice of our ego; family; friends, culture and the world all ‘storm’ our minds. Some lead us to God while others separate us from Him. Those who choose to habitually listen to the voice of the Lord, whether dead in sin or in the tomb, will live (Jn. 5:24-29). Let the voice of the Lord lead us to life.

Lord Jesus, may we intentionally choose to tune out the distracting noise that surface in our heads and outside our ears, so that we can hear Your voice more clearly. Help us to not only listen but also respond, so that Your words become the map for our salvation. Amen.

Blessings,

Fr. Howie
