We are going to encounter doubt and darkness in our world and in ourselves. Sometimes it is recognised, while at other times we need the voice of someone who genuinely loves and cares to point us in the right direction. The advancement of others is real love.
Jesus loves us. When he encounters the darkness of sin, and the despair of physical and spiritual paralysis (Jn. 5:1-16), he forgives and heals. There will always be opposition to the Lord’s grace. But we have to know who truly cares for us and to whom we belong.
Lord Jesus, Your love and care for us is evident in the numerous ways You heal, restore and give us what we need to grow. May we imitate Your light, so that we can become effective and inspiring spiritual guides who help others to walk in joy and peace. Amen.
