Our Lenten theme, ‘Give Me your heart’, provides much to ponder in our prayer. Do we truly love the Lord with ALL our heart? Are there parts of my heart that I withhold from God? We are told to love God and neighbour in order to have eternal life (Lk. 10:25-28).
Today’s readings solidify our theme for Lent and the implications in our lives. We are not to “bear hatred for anyone in our heart” (Lv. 19:17). Be aware that anything we do (or not do) to anyone, is “done to the Lord” (Mt. 25:31-46). Pray and show love to all.
Lord Jesus, touch our eyes so that we can see Your presence in every individual. Touch our hearts to truly love You with all that we are. Touch our minds so that we may show practical care to everyone You send into our lives. Amen.
