Lent is about almsgiving, praying and fasting (Mt. 6:1-6; 16-18). Lent is about denying ourselves, taking up our cross and following the Lord (Lk. 9:23). Lent is about growing in grace and favour with God by avoiding vice and sin. Lent is about striving to be holy by giving our hearts to God and gaining life (Dt. 30:17). May our journey lead to real joy.
Lord Jesus, as You offered Your life for our eternal salvation, we pray that the sacrifices we make and the virtue we embrace, may all be pleasing in Your sight. Amen.
