Holy Week is nine days away. The storm is brewing. The preaching and works of Jesus are causing division among the people (Jn. 7:43). Some are for Him and see Him as a hero. But others are against Him, which is more a reflection of the sad state of their hearts and dark minds. True followers of Jesus must always brace ourselves for the negativity we receive from others. Pray always for the grace and strength to carry our cross.
Lord Jesus, Your love for us and the condemnation from others led You to the cross. Send Your grace to help us to walk with our cross with You, so that the promised reward of life eternal may be ours. Amen.
