Lenten Bytes

A constant drip of water on a rock can eventually create a crack, which if left unattended, will soon cause the crack to widen and eventually split the rock. If we do not address the ‘negative’ drops in our spiritual lives, they can cause much damage.

We see the drops of jealousy against Joseph (Gn. 37:3-28) combined with fear against Jesus (Mt. 21:45-46) create anger, which led to plots to kill them by their opponents. We all need to fix the ‘drops’ that can lead to destruction for self and others.

Lord Jesus, help us to cap the ‘drops’ that can endanger our growth as Your disciples. May we yield to Your Spirit and strive to bear good fruits that will bring You glory. Amen.

Blessings,

Fr. Howie
