Lenten Bytes

Whether one sits in the seat of ‘Moses’ or in the common place, whether one is a teacher or student, master or servant (Mt. 23:1-12), every individual can learn and grow. The Spirit of wisdom falls on each of us every day, to guide and enlighten us. But for anyone to learn, one has to humble oneself so that we can be exalted in the ways of the Lord.

During the Season of Lent, choose to ‘sit at the feet of our Lord’ and feast on His words. Our learning in humility will lead to God’s glory and our eternal salvation.

Speak Lord, and help us to humble ourselves in Your sight, so that we can learn, grow and give You the glory that belongs to You. May Your wisdom be our guide. Amen.

Blessings,

Fr. Howie
