Holy Week Bytes

When we choose to do anything for the Lord, with no hidden agenda except to love and serve Him, we are to be prepared to be ridiculed and criticised. Going to Church; feeding the hungry; spending time in personal prayer or giving something of value to our Lord will attract negative comments and feedback (Jn. 12:1-11).

Do not be distracted by the dark comments made by others. If we are praising and serving our God with pure hearts, clean minds and redeemed spirits, then we will surely inherit the promise of eternal life. The discouraging statements by others is merely a reflection of their own distance from the Lord. Stay the course and worship our God.

Lamb of God, You are worthy to receive all honour and glory. Accept our sacrifice of praise, our worship in truth and our service in love. May we do all things well in Your sight. Amen.

Blessings,

Fr. Howie
