St. Charles Lwanga and Companions chose to die for the Lord rather than live in denial of Him. Peter, who denied Jesus, was given the opportunity to repent and would later die for the Lord (Jn. 21:15-19). In our journey of life, are we willing to die to self and live for Jesus? Are we willing to put to death that which is not of God so that He may be glorified?
Today, ask for the grace to truly follow the Lord. May our choices lead us into eternal life.
Lord Jesus, You proved that there is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for another. As You chose to die for us, may we choose to live for You and to follow Your way. Amen.
