The news of violence; economic fallout; war and rumours of war; murder and mayhem, all impact our minds and hearts. The reality of racism; psychological and spiritual disorders; a desire to conquer and impose; uncontrolled emotions and sin, all lead to darkness.
It is into this storm of sadness and pain that the Holy Spirit is sent (Jn. 16:12-15). It is He who speaks the ultimate truth: we either stand for life and growth, or we contribute to death and the grave. Today, allow the Spirit of life to shine through our words and lives.
Holy Spirit, You make all things new. In this time of anxiety and pain, give us Your peace and healing. May we learn how to allow You to bring true life and joy to all people. Amen.
