Our Lord tells us that the Holy Spirit will teach us everything (Jn. 14:26). Therefore, in matters of doctrine, the Spirit works through the Church; in matters of moral, He works in our conscience, and in matters of relationship and life, He teaches us discernment.
But if the Holy Spirit is the ultimate Teacher, then why do so many fail to learn? Why do we have so many different doctrines, discord and divorce? We as students, cannot learn if we are distracted; cannot comprehend or are too self-absorbed. Desire to learn and grow.
Come Holy Spirit, and fill us with Your light and wisdom. Break through all that prevents us from learning. May the lessons You teach lead us to joy, peace and eternal life. Amen.
