What comfort and joy to hear the Lord say to each of us, “I will come back again and take you to myself” (Jn. 14:3). This places everything in proper perspective. Despite the duties we have to fulfil; the politics practised and economic headaches; health and wealth issues, everything pales in comparison to the beatific vision of spending eternity with our God. All things are in passing, but the Lord’s bond of love lasts forever.
Lord Jesus, Your intense love is so strong, that it elevates us in this life and spurs a yearning for the eternal banquet and celebration that beckons. May our love never die. Amen.
