May 12, 2022 – Easter Bytes
Pride is one of the seven deadly sins. A person filled with pride cannot learn, and therefore will neither grow in understanding nor wisdom. Since the slave or student is not greater than the master or teacher (Jn. 13:16-20), then one must renounce pride and humbly seek guidance. This involves unlearning erroneous claims and be open to proper teaching.
Lord Jesus, help us to renounce our sinful pride. May we humbly seek Your wisdom and enlightenment in our lives. Shape us through our humility and Your love. Amen.
