Mark’s précis of the resurrection of Jesus ends with the words, “Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature” (Mk. 16:9-15). We who are commanded to love, are now commanded to be agents of His good news to others. It is not an option.
Every believer who proclaims the truth that ‘Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again’, needs to understand that failure to love leads to failure to evangelise. Either we fulfil the commands of the Lord for His glory, or we refuse to our detriment. Choose wisely.
Lord Jesus, fill us with Your Spirit of love, so that we may choose to evangelise our world as You have commanded. May the good news we share lead to the glory of Your name. Amen.
