What are some of your fears? Fears paralyse us and can cause us to panic. Fears include: divorce and death; failure and rejection; severe illness and destructive acts of nature; war and cyberattacks. Whether real or imagined, fears disrupt our minds.

There are two antidotes to fear. The first is to name your fear. By naming and owning your fear, you recognise what is causing your distorted thinking. The second is let the Lord take control and guide you safely (Jn. 6:16-21). Faith in God removes all fear.

Lord Jesus, You have the power to calm any storm and remove our fears. Teach us how to truly trust in You, so that we can walk with the assurance that You are with us always, and be confident that You will lead us safely to shore. Amen.

Blessings,

Fr. Howie
