Jesus who “comes from above is above all” (Jn. 3:31-36). Only He can grant the true and full satisfaction to our hearts, that earthly things and people are limited in imparting. Since our heavenly Lord gives us blessings on earth in order to prepare us for our celestial reward, then it makes sense to place our earthly experiences into proper perspective, whereby all things and people are subordinated to our seeking first the kingdom of God.
Lord Jesus, “You came from heaven to earth to show the way”. May we choose to listen to Your word, respond as You desire and walk with You from this life into eternity. Amen.
