“The Father already loves you” (Jn. 16:27). This reassurance from Jesus should give us the peace and comfort we need to approach our God in prayer. Since genuine love invites and welcomes, then we who are His children should never hesitate to draw close to Him.
However, a number of believers have to seek physical and spiritual healing where the word “Father” is concerned. A journey with a ‘positive’ father in the home makes it easy to image God, but a ‘negative’ experience will make prayer difficult. Heal us heavenly Father.
Loving Father, Your love brings comfort and healing. May Your steadfast love propel us into Your arms, where we believe ‘every little thing will be alright’. Amen.
