There are many voices that compete for our attention. Some speak life and help us to grow in faith. Others speak death and keep us in doubt. Many speak fake news which ears are itching to hear and minds are ready to believe. Today we ponder Jesus healing the deaf man who was then able to speak properly (Mk. 7:31-37).
When we allow the Lord to touch our ears so that we can hear His word, it is then that our minds think clearly, our hearts love deeply and our words speak life and beauty.
Touch our ears Lord, so that we can hear Your voice and respond to Your word. May we learn to discern and distinguish between the voice of life and the voice of death. Amen.
