Daily Bytes

As a people of God, sin scatters us from Him and from each other. Our Lord came to heal and restore us back into His presence. He sent His Spirit to continue this work of mercy and reconciliation. The Lord desires a united kingdom and house (Mk. 3:22-30).

So the question we all have to ponder is: do we work with the Spirit of the Lord for unity and community, or do we intentionally say and do things that are calculated to create division or harmony? If we work for the Lord, then our aim must be for communion.

Lord Jesus, You gather us to Yourself because You love us. You feed us with Your Body and Blood so that we can be, and work for, communion with You and each other. May our lives serve to effect unity and harmony in our family, Church and world. Amen.

Blessings,

Fr. Howie
