“I present for the first time, Mr. and Mrs. X.” The joy of the Minister making this statement is nothing compared to the enthusiasm of the newly married couple being presented. From the beginning, our Lord made male and female to share the journey of life as one, united in love (Mt. 19:3-12). It takes effort to make a marriage work. When discipline and sacrifice are combined with God’s grace, the rewards of married life are ‘out of this world’.
Loving Lord, bless all married couples. Grant that as they rely on the support of each other and the gift of Your grace, their union may bring glory to Your name. Amen.
