‘I gaze on your face, and everything fades in the light of your beauty. I listen to your voice, and I drift away on the tranquil sounds you emanate. I look into your eyes, and my entire being is enraptured by the love you radiate.’ Just as the lover is enamoured by the presence of the beloved, so too our souls are captivated by the conscious awareness of the Lord, who is love incarnate. ‘Together, forever is the Lord’s desire (Jn. 12:26).
Lord Jesus, You are our everything. Our world is nothing without You. You are our life, the definition of our sweetness and our reason to hope. Help us to love You endlessly. Amen.
