Jesus is our source and conduit of grace. When Paul begins his letters, or we begin our celebration, with the words, “The grace of our Lord”, we are acknowledging our need and reliance on a power higher than ours. By journeying with the Lord, Peter was given grace to recognise that Jesus is the Christ (Mt. 16:13-23). What is this grace revealing to each of us as it draws us into a deeper intimacy and union with our Lord?
Lord Jesus, pour grace upon us. May it truly be sufficient to strengthen, comfort and lead us ever closer into Your saving presence. Amen.
