It is easy to identify ‘weeds’ in our world. Racism, war and abortion are some of the few that populate the field of our world. However, it is not always easy to point to the ‘weeds’ in our own lives. Habitual destructive gossip and fake news; skewed perceptions of reality based on a psychotic and psychologically disturbed mind, and choosing to be agents of anger and disharmony are real weeds in the individual’s life. The need for personal, communal and global conversion is a lifelong commitment for all believers.
Lord Jesus, You alone are pure ‘wheat’. May Your Spirit help us to identify the weeds in our lives, so that through Your grace, we may convert and become the ‘harvest’ You desire. Amen.
