When the Lord calls us to be His Disciples (Mk. 10:1-7), He empowers us for the tasks for which we are assigned. It is a strange irony of the spiritual life that the more effective the Disciple, the greater the attacks will come from people and the devil. The good news is that the Lord’s grace is sufficient for the journey. Victory and power belong to our God.
Lord Jesus, You fortify us to build Your kingdom. Your Spirit blesses us to be agents of good news and emissaries of love. Protect us from the attacks that come our way. Amen.
