Believers who make the Lord our anchor will survive any turbulent storm in life. We hear of the devastating flood in Noah’s days; deadly firestorm in Lot’s days, and the disappearance of people in the day of the Lord (Lk. 17:26-37).
Whether we view these statements as symbolic or real experiences, what is evident is that death comes to us all. The best way to prepare for our death is to show evidence of our love for God by embracing His commandments (2 Jn. 1:6).
Trusting in the power of our God who creates and commands will lead to our salvation.
Loving Father, Your love for us is so intense that You send Your angels to guard us. You give us Your Word of life that forms a protective barrier around us to shield us from evil and sin. May our response be to love You with all that we are, and strive to please You in our daily choices, moments and lifestyle. Amen.
