“Much will be required of the person entrusted with much” (Lk. 12:48). The believer who is filled with the Holy Spirit is given not only ‘much’, but also is given the ‘most’ that is needed to live a life of faith, hope and love. We cannot live these virtues without His help.
The Spirit helps us to pray and strengthens our faith. He gives us courage in the midst of a storm and so inspires hope. In the face of destructive gossip and rejection, He elevates us above petty human behaviour to practice godly love. Let the Spirit move you today.
Come Holy Spirit and fill our entire being with Your powerful presence. In You, with You and through You, may we live up to the expectations of what is required from being named and saved as children of our God. To You, we say “yes”. Amen.
