To deny the Lord’s existence and power does not hurt Him or anyone else but oneself. Our God is self-sufficient. But He so loves us that He creates us; pursues and pulls us towards Himself, bathes us with mercy and truly desires an everlasting relationship with us.
Therefore, to acknowledge our God is to open the floodgates of grace and love in our lives. It becomes the concrete evidence of the love for oneself who wants what is good and who knows from Whom it comes. This gives the Angels a reason to celebrate (Lk. 12:8).
Merciful Lord, You are the love of our lives. No one can ever compare with You nor replace the way You make us feel with Your healing touch and soothing presence. You make our hearts burn and yearn for more of the real satisfaction that only You alone can give. ‘Only You can make our world bright’ and dispel our darkest night. May we never fail to praise You with our lips, love You with all our hearts and tell others the good news that You are. Amen.
