Our minds should be stirred by the three concepts in today’s gospel: mighty deeds, listen and rejection (Lk. 10:13-16). With all the “mighty deeds” done by the Lord in our lives, do we really show our gratitude by loving and serving Him as we should?
Do we train our ears and hearts to “listen” to Him so that we may be happy in this life and be led into eternal life? Do we “reject” the ways of the Lord and the people who challenge us to grow spiritually? We do so only at our peril. The warnings are clear.
Loving Lord, we give You thanks for the wonderful ways and miracles You perform in our daily lives. May our listening and acceptance of Your ways and word bring us joy and real peace. Amen.
