When our minds, hearts, bodies and spirits are truly at rest, there is not only relief from strain and stress, but also a sense of security from fear and worry. Genuine rest finds us in our ‘happy place’ and comfort zone. This is exactly what Jesus means when He invites us to rest in Him (Mt. 11:28-30). Rest in the Lord, and walk with confidence through life.
Lord Jesus, in You we ‘live and move and have our being’. Your grace is beyond measure. Your peace passes all understanding. Your love conquers all. May we choose to rest in You, so that we can be energised to be effective Disciples in Your hands. Amen.
