When we seek first the kingdom of God, then all other things are added to our lives. These words are often sung but may not be as evident in our lives and the choices we make. The Lord as a youth went about His Father’s business but was not robbed of family nor being a witness of God’s love (Lk. 2:41-51). Do we, like Jesus, credibly show to our family, friends and others in our lives, that we are a people of God’s kingdom and not of the world?
Lord Jesus, even in Your youth, You revealed that the mission to build the kingdom of God was Your priority and it must be ours. Empower us with Your Spirit to be a people who are embracing kingdom values which transform our lives and our world. Amen.
