Genuine believers who follow Jesus our Light, must be prepared to experience rejection by those who are wrapped in darkness (Mt. 10:22-23). The false prophets are loved by all, but the true prophets will be hated.
As Judas betrayed the Lord, so too the authentic Disciple will be rejected by those who are close. But take courage, because the Lord has promised that those who “endure to the end will be saved”. Remain in the Lord.
Lord Jesus, Your favour on Your chosen ones makes us targets of rejection by those who have not drawn close to You. Help us to remain steadfast in our love for You, knowing that the sufferings in this life cannot be compared to the glory that is promised. Amen.
