Daily Byte

What happens when we have questions to which we have no answers? We read that the first people, Adam and Eve, had three sons (Gn. 4:1-15, 25). Cain is jealous of Abel and kills him. Seth is born after this experience. Yet after Abel is murdered, Cain is worried about others killing him (Gn. 1:14). Who are these people and where did they come from?

Any answer given will be more a stretch of the imagination, or a theory without supportive evidence. Questions related to the book of Genesis, or the chapters of our lives, will not always yield answers. It is in this ‘restless sea’ that the ‘life jacket of faith’ keeps us afloat. Faith in our God is our ‘compass of surrender’ as we navigate the uncertainties of life.

Loving Father, only You can make our world bright and filled with hope, because You alone have all the answers. Teach us how to have faith and trust in Your plans. Amen.

Blessings,

Fr. Howie
