I like a glass of red wine....sometimes two (lol). When Jesus blessed the cup of wine at the Last Supper and pronounced it to be His blood which the Disciples will consume, He was pouring “new wine into fresh wineskins” (Mk. 2:22).
Since “no one pours new wine into old wineskins” (Mk. 2:22), ours is the task to pray and respond to the grace that our Lord bestows to make us renewed. Each day is a new start to live in the light of the Lord and fellowship at His table.
Lord Jesus, Your saving blood frees us from sin and makes us new in Your sight. Pour Your grace upon us, so the we may be worthy to sit at Your eternal banquet in heaven. Amen.
