We often approach the Lord in prayer to make requests for Him to either supply our needs or care for others who we identify. Our confidence in our God’s love and power spurs us to ask. But do we dedicate our prayer time to specifically give thanks to Him, or offer worship and praise as the creatures and elders do (Rev. 4:9-11)? Today, choose to glorify the Lord without any petitions. When praises to the Lord go up, His blessings come down on us.

Lord Jesus, You are worthy to receive all glory, honour and power. May our gratitude and sacrifice of praise be acceptable in Your sight. We bless Your holy name. Amen.

Blessings,

Fr. Howie
