We are part of the large crowd who follow Jesus (Lk. 14:25). We must ponder why we are following the Lord. Do we seek the Lord of miracles or just the miracles themselves? Are we hungry for the Lord or only for the “bread and fish” He provides? Are we honestly following the Lord for what we can get, or what we can sacrificially give (Lk. 14:33)? When we seek first the Lord and His kingdom, it is then we will receive blessings beyond compare.
Lord Jesus, we follow You and acclaim You as Lord of our lives. May Your Spirit empower us, Your word guide us and Your grace lead us into the joys of Your kingdom. Amen.
