True humility is to acknowledge one’s self worth. Who am I? I am a child loved into life by my heavenly Father. I am valued by Jesus for Him to die for me. I am blessed because I am filled with the Holy Spirit. I am who I am, because of who God is.
My true worth is ultimately evidenced, not by my talents or possessions which are all gifts from God, but by the life, love and blessings God bestows. This is true for all of us. Let us humbly exalt the Lord, and He will exalt us (Lk. 14:7-11).
Lord Jesus, to You we bow and offer praise. May we choose to humble ourselves in Your sight, so that You will lift us high, according to Your will and purpose. Amen.
