Daily Byte

Do we habitually seek the Lord in prayer and ask for His guidance before we speak or act? Since we are limited human beings, we need God’s grace to lead us in our daily lives. Jesus spent the night in prayer before choosing His disciples (Lk. 6:12-16).

Through prayer, Jesus selected, taught and empowered them to be sources of good news for others. They were to tell people of His love, mercy and gift of eternal life. If prayer was important for the Lord, can it be any less for us? Pray constantly.

Lord Jesus, help us to imitate Your example and choose to be a people of prayer. Send Your Holy Spirit to guide our thoughts, words and actions for Your honour and glory. Amen.

Blessings,

Fr. Howie
