Just like God’s love and mercy, the scriptures are for all ages and all times. We know of the Lord’s faithful love and tender mercy, but do we embrace it and share it with others? The Lord gives us the gift of our salvation (Eph. 2:1-10), do we show Him gratitude?
The same mindset applies to the word of the Lord. We are reminded to guard against greed because not only can it rob us of our energy and peace of mind, but also it neither prevents death nor purchases eternal life (Lk. 12:13-21). Let His word guide our lives.
Loving Father, You speak Your word so that we may be led into the path of love, peace and true joy. May our embracing of Your word lead us all into the gift of eternal life. Amen.
