We often acknowledge our ‘connections’ with pride. We speak of our family, school, work, Church, culture and nation with beaming joy. Although each of these is riddled with many deficiencies, we tend to focus on the positive and celebrate the good.
Jesus wants us to share with others about our relationship with Him (Lk. 12:8). Unlike the other ‘connections’ mentioned, He is the perfect Shepherd who feeds and forgives us; who guards and protects us, and who leads us into the pasture of eternal life.
Today, tell of His merciful and embracing “love to the islands, tell it everywhere”.
Lord Jesus, Your redeeming love not only saves us, but also spurs us to tell others that the good news of our salvation is to be found in Your comforting presence. Amen.
