Daily Byte

Today’s gospel reveals that those who choose to ‘sit at the Lord’s feet and listen to Him, choose the better part’ (Lk. 10:38-42). This does not negate activism, but rather places it in its proper perspective, and becomes that which is aimed at pleasing the Lord.

When we intentionally make the time to listen to our God with minimum distraction within our minds or from around us, we will be taught by His wisdom; convicted of our sins; hear Him speak His mercy, and pronounce His peace on us. Listen to Him and live.

Speak Lord, Your servant is listening. May Your words of life, love and mercy reach our ears, minds and hearts, so that all that we do will reflect Your compassion and glory. Amen.
