Today we observe the Memorial of the Holy Guardian Angels. When it comes to Angels, we can identify three groups of people: those who do not believe in Angels; those who believe in their heads that Angels exist but have no real interaction with them; and finally, those who believe in their minds and hearts that Angels are assigned by our God to watch over us and protect us. This last group has a relationship with Angels in prayer and awareness.
We know from Scripture that Angels ministered to Jesus when He had finished his fasting in the wilderness, and also when He prayed in the garden before his crucifixion. Jesus also declares that Angels exist (Mt. 18:10). Our loving Father gives us all that we need because He wants us to be truly happy, protected and enjoy life. Angels are to guard our steps and to keep us in His ways. Let us give thanks to God for all our assigned Guardian Angels.
Loving Father, as we thank You for the gift of our Guardian Angels, may the protection they offer help us to walk in the light of Your word and in the peace of Your will. Amen.
