Daily Byte

Just as a healthy diet and exercise are good for the body, so is praying and confessing good for the soul. The more each of us works on our physical and spiritual health, the better we become. Indeed, the less time we spend identifying the “splinters” in others’ eyes and dedicate more time to removing the “logs” in our own eyes (Lk. 6:39-42), the humbler and healthier our Family, Church, Country and World will be.

Lord Jesus, You are always ready to forgive us when we own our sins and seek Your mercy. Help us to identify and remove the “splinters” in our eyes, so that we can see clearly how to walk in Your ways and be of assistance to our brothers and sisters. Amen.

Blessings,

Fr. Howie
