Fasting, praying (Lk. 5:33) and almsgiving should not be restricted only to the Season of Lent, but is to be constitutive in every believer’s journey of life. Praying keeps us connected to our God. Fasting builds discipline and almsgiving promotes selflessness. With all the energy we expend, how much do we devote to these three advantageous practices?
Lord Jesus, You are the Creator and Template of our lives. May we imitate Your example of praying, fasting and giving, so that we can become more like You for our good. Amen.
