There is none so blind as those who will not see. This phenomenon is so true in today’s gospel (Mt. 9:32-48). Despite delivering the demoniac, rather than acclaim the good and saving power of Jesus, the Pharisees link His power to the prince of demons.
Having made up their minds to reject Jesus, even the miracles He performed were skewed by their twisted minds into something evil. If we behave like the Pharisees and refuse to see the good in others, how will we be labourers of love who build God’s kingdom?
Lord Jesus, touch our eyes to see Your presence in others. Touch our lips so that we may praise You, and speak words of love and comfort to Your people as You desire. Amen.
Blessings,
Fr. Howie
