Jesus our good Shepherd calls us to be shepherds in our own contexts. Parents, teachers and pastors are empowered to have the heart of a shepherd (Mt. 6:34), and to reveal our love for God and each other (1 Jn. 4:7-8) in all circumstances of life.
When our children, students and people in our lives feel our constant and sacrificial love, it is then they are groomed to become good shepherds themselves when they either grow up or go out. A heart connected to God will find ways to connect with His people.
Loving Shepherd, as You care and provide for us - Your people and sheep - help us to do all that is necessary to reveal Your love by the way we imitate Your goodness. Amen.
