How involved are parents today in the spiritual lives of their children? Do you set times in the home for family prayer and Bible sharing? Do you share your stories and experiences of how God answers your prayers? Do you take your children to Church?
In the gospel (Lk. 2:22-35), Joseph and Mary take the child Jesus to the temple to present Him to the Lord and to offer sacrifice as prescribed. They faithfully undertook their roles as spiritual guides to form their child. Parents need to imitate Mary and Joseph.
Loving Father, bless those You have called to parenthood to be responsible and dedicated spiritual guides to their children. May our children be formed in Your love and light. Amen.
