Today, the first Monday and working day of the New Year, we hear that Jesus now begins His public ministry (Mt. 4:23-25). Who says God does not have a sense of humour? Those who habitually trust in the Lord and follow His guidance, learn how to ‘laugh’ in the face of challenges. Our confidence in the Lord’s power to deliver us already gives the assurance that He will save, deliver and lead us into His kingdom of victory. Have faith and laugh.
Lord Jesus, we place our hands in Yours and trust in You. Remain with us throughout this New Year, and by Your power and love, deliver us from all evil, danger and harm. Amen.
