Have we ever stopped to ponder what it is we really believe about our God? As the blind men were asked if they believed and then were healed (Mt. 9:27-31), do we live the reality and implications of our own belief?
If we believe ‘He’s got the whole world in His hands’, do we then take comfort that He does and will care for each of us? If we believe our Lord is all-powerful, do we trust Him to act for our good when He is ready?
What we believe should then be followed by a sincere faith and trust in God’s tender love.
Loving Lord, although we believe in You, there are times when worry creeps into our minds and hearts. Help us in our moments of doubt and strengthen us when we are weak in faith. May our trust in Your healing power give us the assurance we need to walk in joy. Amen.
